SERVICING HELP

Good Morning All.

I am in need of some help i have got 2007 07 RRS tdv6 hse i have had it for just over 4months and its coming up that it needs a service having just done 14k mls, this would its first service but i have just bin told by a friend that it needs to be serviced every year or 15k mls which ever comes first, or is it when the comp on the car tells you??? if its true what i have bin told does that mean that my warranty is invalid???

Thanks

Rob

Rob, it is true that you are to service your car either every year or X amount of miles, which ever comes first.
So as 2007, it should be going for the second service now. In terms of warranty, I am not sure to be honest.
This may be tricky, best is to talk to your dealer to clarify Thumbs Up

Yes i have thanks but am still confused just had a look on land rover website and thats says to Refer to the Service Interval Indicator in your vehicle which the car has do and its only just come up now that it needs a service after 2yrs,so whats right service every yr or 15k mls which ever comes first or wait till car tells you need a service??

It could be the previous owner did the earlier service a little late so the SII was reset late too. Malaysia Boleh!

If the car is telling you it needs a service then it does. Generally it is every 15K milesbut the car also assesses yours or the previous owners driving style which means it could be between 12 months or 15K miles. Once done the book will be stamped and the service indicator reset.

Sounds like your first one is due and needs doing asap. TDV6 - gone

Where did you get it - private or dealer?

If private then something you missed, if dealer then some come back and I am sure they'll 'catch up' the services - even if private it may be it was done but the booked missed - your dealer and the VIN will determine true history

I'm also a bit confused with this. The link above says service every 6 months (at least oil). Question Question Is it 6 months or 12 months?? Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY

Service interval for the TDV6 is every 12 months or 15000 miles whichever comes sooner.
As far as the oil thing is concerned, you should check oil levels regularly and top up as required.
The car does tell you when the service is due it starts telling you a certain time before it's actually due .
It will flash up briefly in the info display panel when you start the car and from memory I think it even gives you a figure in miles of how long it has to go before being serviced. If the service time has passed the figure
is displayed as a negative number i.e. -500 means you have passed the service interval by 500 miles. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

As with most things you can get it cheaper if you shop around. Depends on a) how far you want to travel to get your car serviced or b) how much choice of LR dealer you have near you?
