Rob, it is true that you are to service your car either every year or X amount of miles, which ever comes first.

Yes i have thanks but am still confused just had a look on land rover website and thats says to Refer to the Service Interval Indicator in your vehicle which the car has do and its only just come up now that it needs a service after 2yrs,so whats right service every yr or 15k mls which ever comes first or wait till car tells you need a service??

It could be the previous owner did the earlier service a little late so the SII was reset late too. Malaysia Boleh!

but theres no stamps in the service book to say its bin serviced at all, would never have got it if i new

If the car is telling you it needs a service then it does. Generally it is every 15K milesbut the car also assesses yours or the previous owners driving style which means it could be between 12 months or 15K miles. Once done the book will be stamped and the service indicator reset.

Service interval for the TDV6 is every 12 months or 15000 miles whichever comes sooner.

As with most things you can get it cheaper if you shop around. Depends on a) how far you want to travel to get your car serviced or b) how much choice of LR dealer you have near you?
