Coko, the vibration in the steering could be the front diff. It was a bigger problem for the FFRR but i've seen a few on here that have had their diffs replaced after much investigation at the dealer. One of the topics when it was replaced is here.

If your car has been out of alignment for some while and then been realigned, it's possible your tyres have worn unevenly... this can introduce vibrations at various speeds? |

Good point mate... Do you think that the tyres will wear themselves back to even? |

In my experience, they certainly can do.... whether they will or not is a different matter |

Hmmm, was thinking of not using this car till Friday but you tempted me to give it a go and wear the tyres. But still worth having it checked, don't you think? |

Yes, I have and I did mention about this before somewhere in this forum. I still haven't figured about what's causing this "shaking" though. ![]() |

I have DR. It is really strange. Since I got the car in Dec 08 it was on winter tyres and I have not experienced it. However, ever since I swapped to summer the "shaking" has been there. |

you could have a slight buckle in the wheel which will not balance out. also if the tyre has become deformed due to standing etc it iwll wobble when driving. what wheels do u have on. |

your tyres are out of shape possibly due to a pothole or bad bump. unfortunatly it is a part of 4x4 ownership that will never go away. |
