Steering problems

Have for some time been struggeling with the steering system on my RRsport 2007mod (TDV6). The steering are heavy and very unpresice. In addition, the steering want sentralize after a turn.

The dealer have replaced a sensor (not sure which), that hepled for 30minutes or so. Then back to the same situation. Now yhe car is back with the dealer......

In addition, I am also struggeling with the following problems:
In long left turns the forward right wheel start breaking and the DSC system activates. This happens in any speed. Dealer have spent significant time with hotline and replaced several parts - nothing helps. Think the Norwegian importer are about to give up...

Lack of power to the telephone cradle. Dealer are replacing parts, but still out of function!

And several other problems such as engine warning for defect (AGR or something) exhaust valves. God knows what will happen with this situation.

Beleive it or not, but I really loves this car, but I am getting sick and tierd of all the problems. Is it like this with all RRSports?

Any help are appreciated!!!! Big Cry

EGR valve problems are all too common on the TDV6 Rolling Eyes , the dealer should be able to read the fault codes and replace the faulty valve, or both of them if necessary. Sorry, havent heard of the other faults though I'm afraid.Good Luck with those. RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i

Similar issue to one i read about back in my bmw days.

Have they replaced the g-sensor? (im not sure if this is the technical term Laughing ). Usually when these are faulty you get issues on long turns. It basically thinks it needs to slow you down because the sensor is fualty. It doesnt usually come up on diagnostics.

I tried to look for the forum thread where someone had a similar issue but i couldnt find it. WINNER - 2008 Best All New Photograph

g-sensor? Well I know they replaced the ACE module some time ago. This week (I hope) they will replace the steering angle sensor.

Yes, I think the yaw sensor is included in the ACE module that they replaced some time ago.

There are two yaw rate sensors in a RRS - one in the roof and one in the transmission tunnel. IIRC the lower one is used for DSC and they are both used (for comparative rates) in the ARM system... If either are faulty it may be thinking you are about to tip over on bends and will cut the throttle and apply brakes to individual wheels if necessary to avoid a 'roll-over'.

OK, thanks. I will discuss this with the garage tomorrow. I was not aware of the one in the roof. Confused Confused
