Hi Guys, One of the first questions Land Rover insurance asks is "has your car been modified to increase its performance" has anyone been through the change while a policy holder, and what impact did it have on your premium, assuming they still agreed to insure the vehicle ? |

On my previous TDV6 I chipped it and told the Insurance company. The increase in premium was about £50 for the year....they didn't appear too bothered about it and said it was a fairly common modification.

Josh I agree with you, TDv8 is very good without any mods, however there are some there for whom the standard performance is never enough, regardless of what the car is. It's like adding bodykits etc it's a personal thing - maybe it goes back to when man used to mark his territory! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim you maybe right I would never fit a body kit to a RRS. Far to good looking for after market bits. But the lure of a little more power and the sheer mention of an increase in fuel economy just can't be ignored Each to his own TDV8 is a beast standard so why mess with the best SDV8 vogue SE. Corris grey and ivory leather + most of the toys. Limited edition RRS model number 0001 Gone TDV8 RR Sport. Never to be forgotten. Wife has an i8 BMW |
