How about a chip for the TDV8 Question

Get it done Baron, cant wait to see what the reports are like Thumbs Up

Envoy. Figures for "Before T. Chip" Smile All moving figures are taken from the lower flat speed not through from below under power. Those figures would be a lot quicker.

0-60 from still in sports mode and no silly holding the break pedal down Rolling Eyes

0-60 : 8.5secs
30-50 : 4.3 secs
50-70 : 5.8 secs
60-90 : 9.5 secs

New times:
30-50 big jump now consistantly 3.00 Whistle
50-70 4.4
60-90 8.0 Bow down

0-60 not possible today to many cars about Sad

Truck still very new and times are better if I AVOID sport mode. Best let her change up earlier and use the grunt and that she has in spades Thumbs Up

Wifey's E class has my respect also serious mid range wallop now Cool

Fuel no better or worse. But more grunt available across the board. Should be an animal after 3k or so Wink Wink

Baron,

Maybe your car has a fault. I've seen failed 'air mass' sensors on very low mileage cars and this type of fault will severely compromise any remap you have had Sad Chips with everything

LR tuning. I dont think there is much wrong. Just my expectations may be a little high.

Mid range figures are much better already. What I cannot fathom is if 30-50 is best part of 25% better why is 0-60 the same Sad

Early days as engine still has only 400 miles on the clock.

DON'T GET ME WRONG " I love her to death" Best car I have ever owned Thumbs Up

The other thing I must keep in sight is the fact that the TDV8 is an ANIMAL in it's own right where as the tdv6 gains buckets from the chip. If the TDV8 was to drop 0-60 by 2 seconds like the tdv6 that would give my (nearly) 3 ton machine a 0-60 of around 6.5 secs Shocked

I noticed LR have a quoted 50-70 in fixed 5th gear time so I will try that and report back to you guys Thumbs Up

Landrover customer relations man phoned today to see if the "Hand over" went well. I think I made his day Very Happy

Told him of my joy with my new toy.

T.Chip get there own TDV8 next week. So I will keep in touch with them to see how things develop.

Hi,

Just ordered my RRS TDV8, and was told by the dealer that if I chip the car, I'll loose the warranty, and that the few people he knew had done this, had removed the installation later anyway.

I can understand that I get a bit more power, but what about the fuel economy? And, will I loose the engine warranty, or is this just hot air? Finally, what is the www site where I can buy it from?

TIA,

KB

If you can afford to buy a TDV8. And want a bit more oomph. Go for it. I did and have NO regrets.

If you have an issue with warrranty DONT. Simple Thumbs Up

Also DONT expect fuel savings as well as more GRUNT. Aint going to happen Rolling Eyes
