LR Ipod kit.....

Hi folks,

Just purchased a genuine one of these babies of ebay BNIB and from main dealer. I only wanted it for the USB connection so memory stick can be used.

Went to the $tealers and asked how much to fit.....£400!!!! Is this right or just LR being their snobby usual self.

Sounds about right to me, kit is usually around £150 + fitting which takes approx 1.5-2 hrs.

I got this when it was 1st released, USB has never worked properly for me due to size limitations and the IPod bit in my view is useless unless you have it mounted in the car, no information is shown on the technicolour screen. I was to be the guinea pig on testing this function (screen data) but it all fizzled out about a year ago.

I am guessing the revised MY10 will get full integration. Thumbs Up L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Many people fit them themselves, ask on the Disco3 site someone will give you the instructions. Or if you are a numpty like me, try 10forcash he will fit it a lot cheaper at your home. Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

I live on the South Coast and he lives in Derby and he services my cars. Maybe if you have a few jobs or can wait until he is near you on another job it can become cost effective. Send him an email, it can't hurt to ask! Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

I've just bought one of these iPod connectivity cable kits.

Didn't expect the fitting to be as much as that! I'm comfortable doing it on my own if I can get hold of some proper workshop manual instructions for removing the trim etc...

Any ideas where I can get this?

Thanks

The trim is just a case of popping it off gently, the kit should have come with instructions.

Failing that call into my workshop and ill give you a rundown/howto but you can fit it Smile
