HSE, came from additional spec to the SE (aka Jag XJS route) i.e. Higher spec than an SE = HSE

I think HSE is High Standard Equipment. Not sure about HST. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

As far as I know SE and ST are commonly used acronyms for Sports Executive and Sports Tourer. Whether that applies to the RRS badging I have no idea. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

Serious answer is that I doubt anyone at Land Rover could tell you to be honest... They are just letters used for many many years to distinguish one level of specification from another...

The back axle has the electronic rear differential on HST versions - this is optional on other models |
