Agreed, surely whoever you're picking the horse up for doesn't expect you to go out and equip your car at your own time/cost simply for the purposes of doing it?

dude, what happens if you need to take the horse back to Abergerwotname, he could be horse sick (or home sick,) then there may be a need for a more permanant fitting of ones towpack,hmmmm you never know |

More seriously - towbar - borrow or ebay - electrics hardware around £75 and a DIY hour job, stealer around £300....

If you think you aren't going to need the towbar again why not hire a tow car for a couple of days - there is a network of specialist 4x4 hire companies across the UK who rent out Land Rovers for just this sort of thing. Just spoken to the stealer - £400 for the tow bar (are they serious???) and £175 tofit the electrics!!! (they were very polite about it though!) Jaguar XKR Convertible
