something very similar happened to me last year in the TDV6. Just leaving city and joined motorway when experienced savage vibration as if I had a tyre blowout. Got out and checked all round but nothing. Drove off and vibration started again. Was able to limp to dealer (luckily I had only left city limits). when I got there the vibration had stopped (about 5 km) but there was a terrible smell of burning from back right wheel area. Disk was mad hot. They gave it back monday but told me they found nothing, pads were ok, calipers ok brakes functioning no damage. They "reckoned" a stone or even a piece of asphalt had wedged in between the disk and calipers and had been finally thrown out. Never occurred again. RRS TDV6 (gone)

Yep, sounds like EPB problems to me. Brother-in-Law suffered something similar in his Disco3. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

LR Assist told me that the EPB shoe is designed to shatter if it engages at speed or gets stuck on and you drive away. This is to prevent it causing damage or a dangerous imbalance of the car. Maybe he was just spinning me a line - but that's what he said anyway 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

GOOD POINT I have never used mine since having a problem with it last year. The dealer mechanic told me they were a real pain and he doesn't understand why the didn't just stick with a good old manual version. I have to say I agree. It's tech for the sake of tech. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black 2013 Evoque 5 Door Pure Tech SD4 - Orkney Grey with Panoramic Roof (Mrs E's new baby) GONE - RRS - 3.0 TDV6 HSE - Santorini (2010) GONE - RRS - 2.7 TDV6 HSE - Java Black (2007) GONE - Porsche Boxster S - 3.2 - Black |
