True, that isn't a bad record. Out of interest James, do most of the used RRSs with Dynamic Response that you come across as p/ex etc have the knocking? |

Merc sold me an SL500, which they claim had not been involved in any accident, it was 2 years old. I noticed the back end kicking out over bumps (should be happening as SL's have air suspension and not shocks) and they put it up on the ramp, underneath the whole front section was brand new - they tried to get it on a jig to check the alignment - it was so far out, they wouldn't let me have the car back and gave me my money back. Now if I had an accident, would they have owned up? And ever Merc dealer I've been into since, have treated me like crap - such a shame, because I love CLS's and SL's |

Well the EGR valve will not be in until Thursday as they are all out of stock due to unprecedented demand (surely this tells Landrover something)

My experiences with the Merc dealers in Central Scotland is that to a man they treat you like a heap of dog dirt, unless of course you park outside the showroom window in a Merc. Sorry but having been told twice by Merc dealers to my face that I couldn't afford to buy a Benz (despite at one time driving a year old V8iES Disco1 and on the 2nd occasion a TD6 FFRR) I will NEVER EVER cross a Mercedes Benz dealers showroom door threshold again. The local dealer tried for years to get me back into their showroom by inviting me to new car launches and

Why do Merc dealers have such a supremist attitude? Like they couldn't give a toss whether they got your buss or not? I had one dealer, who I gave £500 deposit to, based on him getting trade in on my old GT, he hadn't come back to me for 10 days - he said oops, he forgot! that was Ipswich...Merc customer care called me back recently after they sent me some blurb, i explained all the probs and she said she could understand why I wouldn't come back. Am not ever sure Brooklands are any better...although I hear good things from autocar who service their loan cars there - but then again they would get good service wouldn't they!!! |

brooklands are just as bad, my car was great but when i used to take it there they made me feel like they were doing me a favour, never felt like this with land rover, it doesnt matter wot car you buy your either lucky or not you hear about LR probs because of forums like this other car owners dont talk as much, they r generally owned by enthusiasts if you get my drift |

Trust me Tim, that makes little or no difference. When I had a C320 they still treated me like pavement pizza on the sole of their shoe Made me buy a BMW which I cannot fault either the car nor the service I received. Besides, the BM was STREETS ahead in both driving and quality terms, not to mention visually Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Joint runner up - 2009 Outstanding Contribution Award WINNER - 2008 ‘Best Thread’ Award – Beautiful Women Of The World Runner Up - 2008 Comedian Of The Year Award Runner Up - 2008’s Funniest Incident 06 RRS TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony, PTI, Running Boards, Privacy, S/C Grille/Vents, Stormers, Tasmods - GONE - ( |

Unfortunately I'm having the same problem with the Land Rover dealership here in Cyprus (they also happen to have the BMW dealership which might help with the I'm-superior-to-you-in-every-which-way attitude). I pulled up to complain about them forgetting to fit new brake pads on my old Range (the sole purpose the car went into the shop and for which they charged me through the nose for). I ended up asking about a new RRS supercharged and he pretty much laughed in my face and said that that might be just a little out of my price range; all this with my 2004 Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG right outside his shop window...
