Interesting....I have a 2005 TDV6 56,000 mile too - had it about a month and get 20mpg around town but approx 28mpg on motorways.

Its about 13k since last service (back in July I think) so it WAS doing regular high miles until I bought it.

I reset the indicator button every fill up (2 tanks so far) and drive like an old lady. Im probably going to get it serviced a couple of thousand miles early as my extended warranty runs out end of May 09 and need to know any faults to get them fixed before Im without a "safety net"

On another note, just got off the phone with Pete at BAS, ordered a remap for tomorrow! Will be interesting to see the power/fuel differences!!! Twisted Evil

Anyone have similar issues/experiences??

Thanks

Paul

I'm averaging about 30-32 mpg and I reset the mpg recording every new load of fuel. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

Sorry... I'm guessing none of you boys have the S/C then?

80% town driving for me and very rarely above 15mpg

Full tank gets 250 miles.

I don't know what he's moaning about!!! Rolling with laughter

England 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zermatt Silver

petrol cheaper than diesel though....so, sc would average say 20mpg, tdv6 say 28? if you dont do 20,000 miles a year then i'd have sc, because it has active antiroll bars etc, sounds great and puts a massive smile on your face Very Happy plus they are relatively cheap in comparison which was my line of thought in the 1st place. keh?

Just come back from North Wales back to sunny Swindon which was 450 mile round trip. Car full of wife kids dog, managed to get 30 Mpg travelled motorway and averaged about 56 Mph over the trip.

Hope you get to bottom of the mpg problem, keep us updated with how you get on.

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Firenze Red

28-30 Mpg on mine
There were concerns over on Disco 3 last year about fuel consumption
It was found that air filters were not replaced on the 15000 m/service and did get very clogged up.
When i had my Discovery the fuel consumption was getting worse (down to 20-22 Mpg) until i replaced the air filter element, this was at about 20000 miles but the filter wasn't due to be replaced until 30000 miles. SAME S**T DIFFERENT DAY

Just used my first full tank of BP expensive diesel (sorry dont know it propper name), £80 to fill up and got 320 miles.... the computer shows just under 23mpg.

Oh forgot to mention, mine is a chipped 08 TDV8 HST with about 8000 miles if it makes any difference.
The car is mainly used on A roads and the M1, mixture of Nottinham grid locked roads and spirited driving when I find empty ones!
