United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HST Stornoway Grey

Just joined forum.

I bought the wife an HST TDV8 back in the spring of 08 and since then she has been running it.
I had a chance to use it the other week back and couldnt beleive the state of the ride quality. It sounds like the car is travelling losely attached to the chassis. Knock and clunks.
I presume this is the same thing that you guys are talking about.
I will contact garage and see what luck I have with them.
Happy to contribute where I can!
I will update as to how the garage approach it.
Cheers

Good luck TurboS

Your welcome to join in on the proposed protest, although TBH the numbers are little pathetic at the moment. To make any stance against LR or to at least see strength through numbers, we will need slightly more than 16 people Rolling Eyes

With the number of TDV8's out there now, its only a matter of time before these guys get the same problem, unfortunately that may be a little too late to achieve any major leverage. If the issue is to be resolved before we all fall out of warranty or through sheer frustration jump ship, then we need to get the numbers up pronto.

A little bit of pro-activeness goes a long long way in these battles. Thumbs Up

I would suspect at this stage that we will not gain the coverage of numbers required, which in all honesty, is a BIG shame considering the severity of the issue.

As much as I love the RRS, this issue for me has signalled the death nell for me spending more of my cash on an abortion of a suspension setup. As much as it grinds me - I WANT to buy British, but the German cars are looking tastier by the second..........hhhhhhhhheeeeeeelllppppppppppppppppp. Big Cry Big Cry L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Hi

Im sure the problems ive read are more than just this, I have a 57 plate TDV6 and took it in for its 1st service yesterday and mentioned the knocking on the front end, they said "ah the anti roll bar bushes wear prematurely on these" and changed them out, the knocking has stopped, but I have noticed the car seems to be riding a little higher in the normal driving mode, have they put more pressure in the air system or something?

cheers

Adeyb

Must admit that since mine was serviced in October and I asked CHPR to look into it, I'm sure they fitted new bushes and so far it hasn't rattled, knocked, hissed or suffered hydraulic oil hammer.......................... I'll see if I can find the service bill and report to see what was done. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

I have had mine TDV8 only couple of months and had so far 'only' other issues (bloody DPF Twisted Evil ) and nothing with a knocking suspension but please count me in for the protest... Thumbs Up
It is absolutely unacceptable to get such problems on a premium car as the RRS.
