*the lucky git* tells you the truth: my friend works at the Porsche factory and the restaurant bought Cayennes to pick up their customers ... no FFRRs... |

You guys can never stay on topic! The question was about the fix for the knocking two pages back It's finally gone! Replaced with BMW 730SE in Sophisto grey Xirallic finish with Oyster (Ivory) and black interior. DAB, Climate glass, Ceramic iDrive and gear selector, power boot and iPhone Bluetooth pack - luvvin' it!

Just got my RRS back from a repair - DSC & ETC alarm light came on a couple of times last week so left in to get sorted (under warranty, 2007 TDV8). Apparently a steering sensor was replaced and it seems to have cured it. Also asked them to sort slight knocking in front suspension while it was in and am really pleased to report that dealer was great. No fuss, no bs, just sorted out suspension bushes and knocking is gone. I know from reading all the posts in this site that it's going to come back again, but thumbs up to the dealer (TH White , Wootton Basset near Swindon) for a no nonsense sorting out on this occasion. Alarm lights fixed too - they took the car on a 50 mile round trip to make sure it was sorted, and I did the same to confirm - no more alarm lights !

Would a dealer be permitted to remove the front dampers without asking the owners permission?
