No if i remember right you have to have the radio/cd on for the PTI to work

It is a bit of a bummer but i never drive without the sounds on RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

Same here - audio usually on - but can you not set the audio levels low so when you use PTI the audio levels do not disturb - i have not fathomed yet the news bulletins and often get the system chopping through 3 or four channels on the hour all at different audio levels

I usually have the music on but some days when I have a lot of work calls to make I switch the sounds off. Seems daft having a system that only lets you make a call if you have music on but its not a big deal - I was just wondering if it was configurable. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

Set the system to AUX instead of Sat 1 or Sat 2 and disconnect your IPOD (if you have one), then you'll have BT available, but no background noise. PJPR

I was doing that but when i finished the call it would drop out to radio and not back to AUX channel.
