PTI Question

When I enter phone mode - either from the steering wheel or centre console button my ICE system kicks in and either the cd or radio will come on.

1) Is this normal?
2) Is there anyway of stopping the ICE sound coming on when all you want to do is make a call when the sound system is off? WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

No if i remember right you have to have the radio/cd on for the PTI to work

There was talk about this not so long ago RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

I have looked through the manual but couldn't see anything about it. Its a little annoying but such is life!

I'm feeling a little underwhelmed with the car thus far so hoping that it will grow on me over time. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

Same here - audio usually on - but can you not set the audio levels low so when you use PTI the audio levels do not disturb - i have not fathomed yet the news bulletins and often get the system chopping through 3 or four channels on the hour all at different audio levels

i think you set them in use (like sat nav) then next time they cut in new levels are used ....

I usually have the music on but some days when I have a lot of work calls to make I switch the sounds off. Seems daft having a system that only lets you make a call if you have music on but its not a big deal - I was just wondering if it was configurable. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

Set the system to AUX instead of Sat 1 or Sat 2 and disconnect your IPOD (if you have one), then you'll have BT available, but no background noise. PJPR

I was doing that but when i finished the call it would drop out to radio and not back to AUX channel.

Might have something to dow ith the fact I don't have an AUX channel really in the RRS XS despite having the dash button. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award
