Tyre problems

Hi i own a Range Sport on a 07 plate, i bought this car as i live down a mile dirt track but in the last two years i have had 6 punctures, all round the outside edge caused by stones and unrepairable. My husband has a Range Rover and we also own a Renault Cleo and we have had no problem with these cars, i have very low mileage too 14000 miles. I have had alot of cars but never had this problem i would be really interested to hear if anybody else has had similar problems. Thanks Jo Big Cry

I know a few guy's on here go up and down a dirt track all the time but never heard anyone say they have had any problems with punctures before???

I have had one puncture due to the driveway, most likely the huge boulders of flint near the top of the drive.

Without sounding like SP, my driveway is about 0.7 of a mile long and is pretty much on a par with a bridleway Whistle Whistle

Welcome Joanne. 2 things, firstly you've been unlucky and secondly why not get a set of harder tyers - Goodyear MTR's are what I have on my 19 wheels. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Joanne - I also had to drive down a broken lane (once just a field) - never had one puncture in over 16 months ownership

I think its down to luck of the draw when it comes to punctures unless your running ultra low profile tyres and going too fast

Worst I have had is 5 or 6 Mitchelin's in 12 months, not the cheapest to replace often. None where due to pot holes, just nails & bolts and a 100mph blow out on a new tyre when the side wall blown
