all you need to do is change the tyres to 275/40 all round and hey presto there is no need to change the wheels as well. I have michelin pilots on mine and before I had Eagle F1's so I would just have a word with your local tyre retailer they will advise you. PS shop around to get the best price because if some see you don't really know about the tyres they will palm off the most expensive ones first.

Unnecessary quote removed So, I can fit wider tyres to the same wheel? Didn't know that... Any idea why the previous owner fitted 255/50 tyres against the recommendation? Can't really afford to change all tyres at the moment either, plus the front Michelins are nearly new.. I'm thinking about leaving the Michelins at the front but having two Goodyears at the back. The Goodyear is the most affordable as well, although its load index is 104 vs Michelin's 109. Does this matter? |

no not really it is for road use only? yea looks like the last owner fitted smaller tyres because they were cheaper. Believe it or not there are actually alot of good second hand tyres about for about £60 each fitted. My pilots were traded against a new set f 22" tyres with only 5000 miles. I have a good friend who is a tyre fitter so he knew I would buy them £240 fitted for 4 tyres in perfect condition. my last tyres were nearly £1000!!!
