Are there any meets around the North Yorkshire and Cleveland areas that anyone knows of ?

if anything is arranged and you are looking for somewhere to go i can certainly recommend a certain off road course based not far from Whitby and Pickering. Personal experience tells me the Sport can cope with everything they have to offer even on std road tyres. I will post some pics in the off road section shortly, well once i've finished cleaning the mud off the car ha ha

So was this little off roading adventure at Langdale Quest or Robin Hoods Bay? I did Langdale Quest a few years ago in a Freelander, some of the tracks through the forest were a bit overgrown and I collected quite a few scratches on my lovely paint work. I also bent my side steps, which didn't go down too well with SWMBO'd. Because of this I haven't taken the Sport to Langdale, but I do fancy Robin Hoods Bay. It looks like a bit of fun.

this was langdale quest - also had the same issue with paintwork ! taken a few hours to polish them out, would like to say i did all the hard work myself but thats what slack time and employees are for
also bent the side step after going over a particularly steep drop into a bomb hole and grounding out 9they've since filled the bomb hole in a bit) - i can confirm the silver trim on the side steps does just rivet back on oops ! the experience was fantastic but you do need to pay attention to the map, i wandered down the extreme route a couple of times - thank fully i made it out the other side !! as i was going round the course i bumped into a group of dutch drivers who had come over in their heavily modded 90's - they were amazed that someone was taking a sport round the harder course, even asked me if i had been smoking some of amsterdams finest !

i can recommend the day to anyone - i've done 2 days up there, the langdale quest and then mission encounter. I will warn you the mission encounter one is more a green lane experience and can really be overgrown and can scratch your paintwork though. On the langdale quest route you can take the option of missing out the sections where you think you might do some damage.

I would have loved to come but at the moment it`s a mad trawl through the jobs pages as I was layed off mid December. Hope it goes well though.

I thought that Langdale Quest had been shut down now?
