so what I have a GTC, for the price, it's not worth that much in terms of what half the people on here have

If I could stretch to owning a GTC I would Nick. I really like them but for my work purposes its just not practical.

If I had the opportunity to own one though, I would. But then my list of "cars to own before I die" is loooong and growing. So far I have ticked off the 7 series and I am about to tick off the Range Rover Sport.

As far as I am concerned we are all a long time dead so doing what you want (as long as it doesn't hurt anyone) is the right way to go. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

Thanks guys...

I worked out if I used it everyday for work, my monthly fuel bill would be about £1800!

In the 9 days I've had it I've done about 1000 miles and spent about £500 in fuel. Worked really hard it gives me back about 4-5 mpg - being really really good, about 14 mpg....but guess I'm averaging about 9 mpg or so. The engine sound is incredible.....steering not great, and auto rear boot is a nonsense - it opens and then shuts within a few secs without giving me a chance to put anything in!

I'd like to try a V8 Vantage but not sure about the auto shifting manual sports box.....have you tried it Angel?

can you drive it as a full auto and would work ok? have become too lazy having an auto....and would always want one. Is the R Tronic in the R8 a full auto? or an automated manual?

Saw a GT up close for the first time today in Chester. Had the chance to see it drive past slowly rather than pass it on the motorway. It sounded sweet! Smile WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

I had a similar pleasure with a new Audi RS4 when it roared away from one of my neighbours, that sounds great Cool

Not seen a GT to get close enough to look in or hear it Sad

Nick - why not - seeing as you can get Bentley's now for £45k then there target market has to be broader even if they don't realise it yet

Nick - at the Motorshow this year, Wifey and I went onto the Bentley stand - got chatting with the Bentley Customer Services Director (he gave us his card hence I know) - we said the cars are well outside my budget and he even said never to say that and if he could help in anyway in the future to call him directly - this kind of attitude is superb and impressed me a great deal
