Nick, have a proper drive in the DB9 as I found the seat side boulsters (on the base) to be quite uncomfortable. I did quite a few miles in one last summer and have to say that the sound is fantastic (especially between approx 2500-4000 rpm) after which it seemed to go quiet again (must be the fuse 22/2 exhaust flap thingy)! Nav was very tricky to use and the one I used had a light dash top which reflected quite badly against the windscreen. Sad

Anyway, enough of that, you need to pop in for a new RRS TDV8 first!! Thumbs Up

I know what you meant.......not everyone on here is an SP mate.....so what I have a GTC, for the price, it's not worth that much in terms of what half the people on here have - and it's not important. Some Censored on here could be driving a 599 and mortgaged up to the hilt....aint worth doing anything for show....I like the cars, it's passion like most of us on here.....as i said before, ib for ib, the RRS is a better car than most cars worth twice as much.....

I sometimes don't get you guys.....I note the slagging off, but I'm not flash with it. I had a heart attack (well in fact twice in the last 6 months) and people on here have a pop at me. I love a nice car, like we all do, and I'm not flash, but still I note a sense of slagging off. It's ok, i can take it. It's funny, I noted a bloke at the meet take the Censored out of me because I have a speech stammer, not sure why people get a thrill from it....but hey, there you go.

Nick - owning two Bentley's in the last 6 months and now discussing swapping it for a DB9 does seem to contradict your comments above don't you think Confused Confused

Not at all mate.....far from it. Going thru a very messy divorce which is going to see me probably lose my home to my ex...which is going to mean me having to buy something very small......which I'm not looking to do in the current market - and trading up to a newer Gt or DB9 from what I have - isn't much of a change. I got the GTC from a client who couldn't pay an invoice - which doesn't make it easier for me. getting rid of the GTC, I might make a bit of money that allows me to but another car........so whats your beef? I don't smoke, I don't drink, don't have to pay £500 a month for childcare while I work as I don;t have any children......it's a matter of degree. What some people spend money on other things.......I like a nice car. I haven't traded in my TDV6 for a TDV8 because I don't feel the need for one and especially because of the knocking dillema....so spending an extra £15K when I trade up really doesn't seem too bad....

Answer your question Kaine?

no beef (or whatever that means) - but if you don't think buying three high priced cars within six months isn't flashing it then I don't know what is - don't get me wrong - good on you for owning them, but just accept it is flashy Wink

if I could then I would flash it too - especially at Jay Whistle

Ok point taken, and apologise if I was a little harsh mate....I've had a really really bad year, like you wouldn't believe. And changing cars this year has given me a lot of joy, and still as crazy about the RRS as ever before.....If I had got the GTC in a really cool colour like beluga or Tempest, believe me I would have kept it and been happy. But it just grinds me, and I've realised there is a little bit of extra money in it to help me trade up - so I guess it makes me happy much more than much else I have in my life right now....

It would be certain to drop off, and shatter upon impact with the ground - or your cat may come and pick it up and....but anyway!

Wozz, bet you still counting down the days til you get your car! What are you doing with the Audi?

I certainly am mate. Two days to go then the constant curtain twitching on Tuesday as I wait for the grand arrival.

I invested in a compact digital camera today to capture the moment for future referral (something I didn't do with the 7 series).

Its just a shame I have a lot of work on between now and skiing on 11th Jan as I would like some time to enjoy the vehicle.

The Audi is on a short term lease so thats going back sometime early in Feb. Its a great car but was only ever a stop gap while I worked through a probation period in this current job. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

Alas I am so busy with work I won't have that option and then I am out of the country for a week so i guess I will have to reserve my excitement until after that.

The novelty of the 7 series started to wear off after about 3 months. I am hoping the RRS will last much longer than that. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award
