England 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black
Interesting...

So a lot of scare stories about chipped cars but nobody has actually personally had a car chipped and had any big problems.... Very Happy Looks like I'll carry on with my tdV8 just the way she is then...... Twisted Evil

Mine drives great and has been chipped, would be interested to see what Stratstones would do if LR ever tried to back out of a warranty claim since I got my TDV8 HST without asking for it to be chipped.
Would have no doubt got it done at some point anyway but it was nice to know it had already been done to my car before I got hold of it.
I have nothing in writing to say it HAS or HAS NOT been done, only got the word of James, the salesman while out on a road test before I paid for the car.

Daz,

Stupid question but have you driven a standard TDV8 or did you just accept the salesman's word that your car is chipped?

I have when I first took out a HSE for a 40 min run, problem is I then took an X5 out and it was a good week or so before I then drove mine. To the best of my memory I think mine certainly feels stonger in the mid range so have no reason to doubt its been chipped. I guess the only real way to tell would be to either put it on the rollers or get a couple of cars and test them side by side.
