How to get rid of smokey interior

Anyone got any tips for trying to get rid of a smokey interior? Just changed the GT for a GTC, nearly two years old - and it has had a heavily smoking previous owner - even when I touch the steering wheel - my hands smell. Any tips would be much appreciated - will post some pics in next few days - not an ideal colour - silvery blue colour, with dark blue leather interior and blue roof - yeah I know not great - but good bargains to be had on the GTC right now. Just want to get rid of the smoke smell!!!

Thanks

If you search cigar smoke i think there was a thread on its removal few months ago - some chap pitched in who ran a 'deep clean' company or similar - there were a few ideas posted from Febreeze to the more severe fill with hosepipe fix Rolling Eyes

I am useless with the search otherwise i'd have found it ....

Oh ..... nice colour ....... Rolling Eyes

i think your best bet will be to use a professional car detailer, They clean down the interior, and have a few methods to clear the smell out, One i have heard of is heating the cars interior up to open the leathers pours and then using a fogging machine.

Alot of the time its not that successful though Sad and the smell will still linger

There was a thread on here not so long ago too about a RRS in the same situation, with a few methods

Hope that helps Nick SP Whistle

Thanks mate - and yeah I know what you're thinking - and I appreciate your delicate tones.....it's not a great colour - think they call it Silverlake....I would have been ok with it if it had a black interior - but it's very dark navy - but at least it hasn't got Ikea wood! getting it valeted today and the carpets shampood etc etc, will see how that works out......

Mate your RRS still looking good...you would have a good business on doing mods if you lived in London....Sexy P may well be your best customer!! bet you're glad you don't actually...!!
