Switzerland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I'm looking for some new tires as well.
Anyone can give me some feedback about the Hankook Ventus on snow?
I'm not into having some summer and winter tires, I'd like to have just one good set of all-around tires.

A page from the manual...

Dynamic Stability and Traction Control[

DSC helps to optimise dynamic stability, even in critical driving situations. The system controls dynamic stability when accelerating. Additionally, it identifies unstable driving behaviour, such as understeering and oversteering and helps to keep the vehicle under control by manipulating the engine output and applying the brakes at individual wheels. Some noise may be generated when the brakes are applied. The system is ready to operate each time the engine is started.

Deactivating DSC operation

Land Rover recommends that DSC is operational in all normal driving conditions. In some driving conditions, to maximise traction, it may be beneficial to deactivate DSC. Such conditions include:

*To rock the vehicle out of a hollow or out of a soft surface.

*Starting in deep snow or on a loose surface.

*Driving in deep sand.

*Driving on tracks with deep longitudinal ruts.

*Driving through deep mud.

To deactivate DSC, press and briefly hold the DSC switch on the instrument panel (the DSC warning indicator will illuminate continuously). Deactivating DSC has no effect on traction control operation.

Note: Driving with DSC deactivated, may add additional loads on the brakes - always drive with DSC switched on if possible.

Thanks Bobby, I usually read carefully the manuals, that's why I was recalling saying something about DSC and snow... Unfortunately, the manual is in my garage (10 min walk from my house), so when questions pop in mind, I ask you guys! Thumbs Up

Scotland 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Does anybody have any faults with the DSC system??
I have 2005 S/C, my wife had a flat tyre(NSR) in November last year, she went to Kwikfit to get the spare put on. I got two new tyres fitted on the rear axle 2 days later.
Soon after I drove to the west coast of Scotland and the DSC system kept cutting on nearly every corner. Took it to Town and County where they diagnosed a faulty hydraulic valve??? and fitted a new seal kit.
Problem solved said they...!! Rolling with laughter I have been back to Town and County on at least 6 different occasions with the same problem and they are totally stumped!!
I dont think I drive the S/C at excessive speeds round corners.....so why is the DSC cutting in??

Anybody else had any similar problems??
