It is not the known knocking... It is strange creaky noise. It started today. The noise goes from front shock-absorbers, or some others parts - I dont know. It is doing that noise only when i go slow and on rugger road. I also tried to raise the car to off-road mode - it makes that noise! But what worse... the raising of the car is unbeliavably slow! The raising usually takes 5 seconds, but now it takes 1 minute...

That sounds like a different issue and most certainly points to a compressor fault. Best to get that checked at the same time, unless of course you are planning to off road reguarly or sooner, in which case, get her in before venturing in to the wilderness......you never know if its going to fail. 1 minute is far too long and it should take no longer than 5-10 secs. I dont think it is compressor, because the rear suspension is in 5 seconds up. But the front suspension reach the offroad mode after minute...

You may have a small slow leak in the front air suspension causing the slow raising of the front. |

Bobby it's usually an insert of some sort of hardened plastic (in other applications they are made of brass or bronze even) that get inserted into a suspension point or place where wear can occur with two metal surfaces rubber on each other - the bush is "sacrificial" and less expensive/critical a part to replace than the main components.

Bobby Have you got more diagrams of the RRS underpinnings? I am particuarly requiring the ARC unit and front suspension as an overview and the individual components. Tim, many thanks for the educational info on 'bushes'. I posted the above diagram because Will suggested that the problem could be 'bush' related and poor dadanek was not sure what 'bushes' meant! Will must have mentioned 'bushes' because there was a TSB issued way back in 2006. This concerned complaints of creak/squeak noises from the front of the vehicle. Apparently LR suggested replacing the stabilizer bushes with new ones that are impregnated with Teflon, which were just available then! However, this only concerned the RRS Supercharged! The inserts you mentioned are related to a TSB issued August 2008. This concerns knocks from the front or rear suspension. It seems the stabilizer bushes get compressed, leave a gap and thus causing wear. It is recommended to insert 'strabilizer bar packers' between the bushes and the chassis. But this is for vehicles without ACE!
