Pump prices - again!?

Is it me or are we being even more blatantly ripped off at the pumps at the moment.

The price of a barrel of oil is now at $89 and yet we are still being charged on average £1.09 per litre for unleaded and £1.20 for dwiesel-derv Evil or Very Mad

I am quite lucky as fuel in Reading at the moment, yes Reading the oil capital of England Whistle , is at £1.02 per litre, which is well below the national avg.

It seems the petrol retailers association aka the cartel, are not quite playing ball with us, us being their bread and butter core business.

£1.02s cheap.... seems to be pegged at £1.09 round my way.

We'll continue to get ripped off at the pump regardless of how much the cost of barrel is Mad

Cheapest I've seen in Central Scotland is £1.15p a litre for diesel at most Morrison's supermarkets, in this area
it is hovering around £1.17 at Shell and BP but for some reason in Glasgow it is at least 3p a litre more expensive.

Has any body tried Vpower Diesel? Our local Shell station has just started selling it at the same prices as regular diesel....................... as an incentive to try it. Unfortunately I filled the RRS 2 weeks ago and I have 3/4 tank of the regular derv in it . I am about to set out for a drive to London, which would have been a good test run for it's claims had I needed to put a full tank into the car before leaving. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I use V-power diesel and I find I get about 1.5mpg more when using it. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Tim, I took advantage of that Shell promotion on my last fill up, I have to be honest and say I cannot tell any difference at all, if anything, my car feels slightly sluggish compared to normal so I'm going back to standard black gold today.

Not worth the extra in my view. L319 D4 HSE

Cheers RR, I'll top up with normal Shell in Stirling and that will be enough to see me to London on about 3/4 of a tank but I'll top up at the Esso place in Gaydon to have enough to get into London and CHPR. The car is going in for it's first service on Wednesday and CHPR are doing the service and and a couple of other jobs and providing the parking while I'm at meetings in the City. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Crude below $80/barrel today however also £/$=1.6907 at the moment too - as long as the £ keeps nose diving then we're never going to see the benefit at the pumps
