United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

I heard on the radio today that the price of fuel is being cut by 3 pence per litre at Tesco fuel stations. Hopefully all the other major suppliers will take note and drop their prices too.

Is it too much to hope for a fuel price war across the forecourts? Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

It is, compared to what we've had to put up with recently. Still a ripoff of course, but until we all up sticks and move to Dubai it's not going to go back to 1980s prices Sad

Heard an "expert" in the oil business saying that "of course the price of fuel will remain high as the oil was bought 3 months ago when it was $145 a barrel and it won't come down for at least 3 months..........." to which the interviewer retorted that it didn't take the oil majors 3 months to put the price up after the price went through roof in June/July, the price at the pump went up the same day. To which the interviewee had no reply.
I fuelled up today in Portsmouth at a Shell Station beside the ferry terminal - derv was 117.9 a litre for normal diesel. In Southampton the Shell station just off the M271 on the dual carriage way was priced at 121.9ppl..... how come? Even in Brockenhurst in the New Forest the Esso station is charging 120.9ppl and they have no nearby competition from any supermarkets! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Our local Tesco is selling unleaded at 103.9 ppl and diesel is 113.9 ppl.

Any bets on when petrol will drop below the magic 100 ppl? Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

More important.......................... when will derv drop below £1.00 a litre! This might be one time when I leave the car with minimal fuel in the tank when I go back to work rather than leaving it with a full tank! I suppose it's the reverse of hedging................. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Australia 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Chawton White

The 'experts' down under were trumpeting that one of the reasons for high prices was the stregth of the Aussie $ against the US $. (it got to almost parity in July). In the last week or so due to the global turmoil so this has tanked and is down 15%. Do I expect prices to drop, of course not... the justication for higher prices keeps conveniently changing!!!

Well I put in 26litres at Gaydon on the way north today and it was £1.199 at the Esso station there.............. I would have had enough to have got me to home without filling up but as I was expecting delays and stop start motoring in the north of the UK I thought better safe than sorry. B Censored r me when I got to Teebay Services in Northumberland for a comfort stop they were selling Diesel at £1.139 a litre on the motorway service station and it was the same all the way to Stirling where the Shell place I normally fuel up at was showing £1.129 and I still had half a tank - 349 miles on a half tank is pretty good going even in my car and despite having had some very very fast blasts through the NW Embarassed Embarassed 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
