oak kit trim

I wanted the adaptive cruise control so I decided to order a supercharged rrs at my dealer instead of buying a first edition that was offered to me.
I noticed that there is an oak wood trim kit in the accesorries catalog, would this be the same wood that is in the first editions? I really don't like the cherry wood that comes standard on these cars, I am wondering if this would replace all the cherry.

I thinkit is the same as the Lined Oak in the 1st Edition. You'd have to ask your dealer though how much wood you get and if it includes the doors too, it may just be the centre console area. L319 D4 HSE

Hi I beleive it to not inclued the door trims.

I think it includes the plastic bits that are rodium around the vents, the bit either side of the radio and the bit either side of the centre console.

I just got a quote for about $1850 for the parts to replace all the cherry wood in the car to the oak wood. I am wondering if you guys think that is worth it. I havn't received my car yet but its going to be black on black. How does the cherry wood look with the black leather? Does the oak wood look much better?

The Cherry wood is a really nice contrast to the Ebony interior, I only didn't choose it because I had wood trim in my last car and wanted a change of scene.

The Lined Oak is very dark and in some respects, less noticable. Ask yourself, are you going to spend that much extra on wood that is only 'special' because Land Rover say it is and put it in the 1st edition? My advice would be take delivery of the car as it is , you can always have the wood changed later on, and who knows, you may end up liking the Cherry wood more and then save yourself a huge amount of money, which you could spend towards some other accessories...

Food for thought? L319 D4 HSE

Yeah i thought about it last night a decided that there is no point on wasting my money for the oak wood. I saw some pictures of ebony with the cherry wood and it seems like the cherry ads some nice color to the car.

I might as well save that money for the side steps and mud flaps.
