I have noted a couple of random events recently, i thought they would be 'one off's' and unable to reproduce. I had a second occurance of one of them yesterday,

You are correct MAW, From my experience at the local dealer today unless a fault is logged in the computer for them to download they look at you as if the fault can't have happened! |

I had this at the beginning with my TDV6, usually happened at the 2nd or 3rd start of the day. No fault found. I got used to try to turn the key and wait for the car to go through the initial check then start. Don't know if it helped but never happened again for over a year. '08 RRS TDV8 I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil |

Thanks all - the ignition bug is as if the car doesn't recognise the key - like I imagine an imobilser would work...
