1 - Good choice when you take the plunge, HST rules Thumbs Up

2. Yes to the IPod. You can either use the aux plug (which is the cheapest) and plug into your Pod

or

2a. You can get LR or a.n.other to fit the rebranded Dension unit to your RRS which sits wherever you want. Mine is in the glovebox - which TBH was a ridiculous idea, as I have no idea what track is playing Thud

The permanent kit does not allow you to see the playlist etc on the head unit, but it allows control from the steering wheel buttons. Barely a solution, but it works!!

We will not see FULL integration until the revised 2010 interior is launched. Big Cry

Hope that helps. L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

thanks very much for getting back to me so quickly.

I have a full alpine multi medi set up in my bmw atm, and i am used to the way the ipod works. eg. can pick my playlist, see what playing, change song/volume on steering wheel.

That a bit of a gutter. my old man got a m5 and when ever i use his i just use the aux and keep forgetting to turn it up and selecting a song is a pain.

Hw are the unit you use in yours?

if you dont mind me asking how much was it?

Harman Kardonn do a IPOD docking station, it hard wires into the aux line and has a docking station, which can be fixed anywhere, it also has a 2" screen that also can be fixed anywhere. The screen has the same display as your IPOD etc. It also comes with a small dial that you use to select which song etc you want to listen too!!
The local ICE specialist in Aberdeen was quoting around £250 plus an hours fitting.

Ok, dumb question, but I'll ask anyway. If I have my iPod plugged into the aux input, and then turn off the iPod when I turn the car off and leave it plugged in, will it draw any power from the vehicle’s battery? I would assume not, since it doesn’t charge through the aux input, but just want to make sure.
