Very pleased for you Thumbs Up And thanks to the keen eyes of the local community.

Now fit a good tracker. Such as Tracker Response, where they need to steal two elements to succeed. Thumbs Up TDV6 - gone

Been over to the recovery compound - it's all in one piece, no keys though Sad It'll have to get new key set from dealers.

Looks like they've had a good time in it, so I'm having it fully checked over and a bit of a spring clean. Police have finished with it now they said there's nothing to go on, so the Scum will probably get away with it. Great really, you're the one ends up having to pay - literally, to have your motor nicked.

Won't get it back for about 7-10 days according to insurance and dealer, - in the meantime still no motor!

Thanks to all forum members for posts, it's good to know you guys are out there.

I would advise that whilst it's with the dealer having new locks etc that you get it thoughly overhauled before you drive it and fit tracker.

Depending on how the recovery was done there could be damage to the transmission/diffs etc.

ie. if it was locked up then it could well have been dragged onto the tow truck as opposed to a full lift without turning the wheels Exclamation TDV6 - gone

Yeah Good idea, although I'm already struggling with the insurance company over the fact that it's in a LR Dealer - and not the Arthur Daley motors that they wanted it to go to. Confused

fairly crap what happened, but people get away with these things in this age, remember from my history lesson, it's only about 150 years ago that we hung people for stealing bread!

hope it gets resolved for you, and insurance get you a new motor.
