I'm due to change my TDV8 in November so this week I need to get to grips with "What next" the SWIMBO has her idea's which I will not bring myself to type on here, however, i have thought about the HST but those exhausts are all wrong for me . I loved the Q7 , but the V12 is out of my price range . XF residuals seem to be bucking the trend at the moment but the problem there is that it's a Saloon and with my tribe it will never work. D3, sooo practical it probaly is the right car for us but........ Any thoughts.

The D3 is a good car especially if you need to lug around family and stuff. Never had a problem fitting everything in a D3. I may be wrong but there might be a bigger TDV6 engine for the D3 even the TDV8 if Cornelius up my own backside is to be believed. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Does it need to be 4x4/SUV? I presume not if you're considering an XF.

Yep, supposedly the XF dash actually.... if the interiors are beginning to disappoint how about a nearly new FFRR? Or does it have to be new for lease reasons etc?

I'd be tempted with a D3, but it just looks so boxy outside and I hate the grille!
