Only the once!!! it was done over the period of a week! it takes the time to work each panel properly removing as many defects and oxidation as possible there were 3 machining processes and then a clensing stage and 4 layers of wax applied now to clean the sport I only need to use the hose as the dirt "falls" off the paintwork plus I have the crystal clear finish. this is what should be done to all paintwork when getting the likes of Supaguard applied, however I have never met a dearer or valeting cmpany that take time to prep the paint properly hence the big con!

Supa guard is purchased for £10 a bottle the vehicle is given a quick buff and then the sealant is applied locking in all the defects. the problem is people dont know what good paintwork should look like to begin with and end up paying up to £500 for a shoddy job.

A question for Java black owners can you see the metal flake in the paint clearly or does it look like solid black?

With the G220 you can't go too wrong I would work away! just start out with applying LSP and the progress from there

The plan is to get it spotlessly clean and polish with AG SRP or AG EDG, then put on 2 or 3 layers of collinite 476

Would you recommend using a G220 on SRP or EDG to either apply or buff off at my level of expertise? or do it by hand

also is a G220 ok for Collinite 476 apply thin layer by hand (applicator sponge) and then using it to buff off layers?

RonnieG your car really looks fantastic Bow down ! If somebody asked me I would say that it is impossible to get such a fantastic finish after those scratch marks. I also have RRS in Java black and it doesn´t look nearly as good as yours- I treated it with Liquid Glass. What stuff did you use on the car (??wax,.... 2008 RRS TDV8 HSE, Java black, Alpaca,.....

It takes some faith to use any kind of sand paper type material on your car Laughing . Id probably pass out half way through the doing it.

Cars looking good Thumbs Up

I have never spent 34 hours cleaning mine!

With the full wash and polish I do I reckon I have spent the best part of 7/8 hours on one. but the result is worth it.

I don't have the skill to do paint touch ups though, that's a cracking job, love the rear end photo with reflection of flowers! L319 D4 HSE
