I had the rubber mats... living somewhere muddy it would have been a waste of time to have the carpet mats. They also have an air of solidity about them and look good with the little metal corners. If I remember they do have a slight lip around the edges, but then how much loose water is going to be on your shoes such that it would cascade over the edge of the mat?

Yep, you can pick them up on eBay for much less than dealer price... even with the usual 10% discount, so it's quit feasible to have both. The inactive set can go in the boot when you're not using them.

you need both, rubber for when its wet and carpet for when you get naked in the back - trust me
