I cannot just go to another dealer, because half way through the claim my warranty ran out. I'm sure another dealer will take on the work but they will charge me for it, then I have to go to the magistrates to recover the money, which will cost me about 75 quid in fees and at least 2 days of work. For something that LR should be doing...effectively LR are removing themselves from the implied Warranty Obbligation, which effectively means that the warranty is based on false pretences... 2007 Audi Q7 4.2 FSI Grey/Black Int. 2005 Quattroporte Grey/Black Int. |

Is your car out of warranty because of miles? Unless you have a pre release car you should still have just over a month on warranty. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

My wife swapped her Maserati Spyder for the RRS at Maranello Sales in Egham. The Spyder was handed back because it had two consecutive major failures, steering and then brakes.

Then surely your RRS is still covered by 12 months used car warranty.................................... vaild until 12 months after you took delivery or at least until September 30th 2008. Was it sold to you under the Approved used scheme? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Nope, was sold to me with only the remaining factory warranty, and 3mm of tread left on all tyres... 2007 Audi Q7 4.2 FSI Grey/Black Int.

Andrew, none of this strikes me as right... as far as I'm aware, no used LRs go off of main dealer forecourts without being part of the Approved Used programme and as Tim says, should come with a years warranty from the time you bought it. The only reason it wouldn't come from Approved Used is if it was more than 5 yrs old, which it obviously isn't.

Have you thought of contacting your local Trading Standards office and putting a complaint through them.

Unfortunately it came through the Maserati dealer, and they didn't add any warranty to it, it was not a terribly amicable split...as you can imagine I was rather upset when my wife's 170mph car had a brake failure...after a steering failure... What really incensed me was when they treid to charge me 6 grand for the swap...hmmm....how about 0 and I don't get a friend who owns a newspaper to lend me a few of their pages for a rant... 2007 Audi Q7 4.2 FSI Grey/Black Int. 2005 Quattroporte Grey/Black Int. |
