22'' wheels - Tyre pressue

Because these are not factory wheels, does anyone have an idea as to what tyre pressure my tyres should be on 22'' Stormers? Thanks for any help...

Thanks very much mate - mine are Toyo's too - just got to get in the routine of checking them every few weeks - my last car had sensors and I never bothered checking them!!

I'd check with the local distributor of your particular brand of tyre they would probably be the most reliable people to ask.

rec'd tire pressures are on your drivers door latch area. apparently the tire pressure is specific to the vehicle, not the wheel tire combo.

The tyre presures are DEFINATELY specific to tyre/wheel size, just look at any factory sticker and it shows different pressures for different wheels and tyres (obviously they wont show you the combo for 22's Laughing ). The vehicle plays a little hand in it (ie youd need more pressure in a 3 tonne car than a 2 tonne car) which is also why your supposed to have different pressures if your fully loaded. I remember the S class even having a different set of pressures if you plan to do 130mph+ when i took it to france.

That's what I thought too. ViewWise brings up a good point; your other vehicles may require different pressures based on intended use or possible tire wheel combos. LR, however, rec's the same pressure for all wheel/tire combos (check your sticker). Also, these recommendations are indeed specific to the vehicle (ie: you're supposed to run 42 psi in your 22's when they're on the RRS, but perhaps not when you swap them onto your 650i).

I think the tyre pressure stickers on the door are country specific. Here in the US, we get a sticker with a single recommended inflation pressure, 38F/42R, for all styles of factory wheels - except the compact spare, of course (see picture below.) I believe in Europe they list recommended pressure for both light loads (driver only, so lower PSI) and full loads (passengers, luggage, morbidly obese drivers, higher PSI.) For that same reason, newer RRS with TPMS in those countries should have a toggle switch on the center console for the TPMS module, to allow switching between light load PSI and heavy load PSI monitoring without false alarms thrown on the dash. In the US, we have no such toggle switch. I guess that's because we are ALL morbidly obese around here.

Umberto over here we have tyre pressure stickers like that but with only the top box on them - you guys seem to get a huge choice of tyres/ pressures compared to us! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Not really... I don't even know why they bother listing 17" and 18" tires, since we can't get either here. And they are just listing the same wheels twice, first with front pressure, than again with rear pressure... In addition to morbidly obese, I guess they also think we are dumb and can't read columns.

I think our average 20" wheel load rating of four adults and no particular luggage states 36F and 44R. Which is what I run on (assuming I'm correct...too dark to check now). I may have to edit this later Embarassed

Seems a little strange that the pressures should be country related if the tyre and wheel size is the same. Confused TDV6 - gone
