Belgium 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Buckingham Blue

was up at 06:00 and everything was white with about an inch of snow, still snowing now but the ground is clear. Had some fun with the MG up at the farm on some tracks in the snow but it was all gone by 09:00.
Spoke with SWMBO and she said the crossing was "Interesting" Laughing meeting up with her and the kids in Inverness about 16:00 or so. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

We have a bit of the white stuff around us in Northumberland. No more than a couple of inches and the deepest accumulations are definitely in our back garden - we live at the top of a hill. Always amazes me how much more snow we get up here. It can be a warm dry day 200 feet down the hill but cold, icey and windy up here. The 7 year old daughter asked me why it is colder up a hill than down in the valley and I am not sure I know the answer. Its one of those facts of life that everyone knows but having asked a few people no one seems to be sure they know why this is. At the top of a hill you are nearer the sun, less atmosphere above you for the sun's rays etc. And cold air falls into the valleys and warm air rises - 2 reasons why there should be less snow at the top and more snow at the bottom. Any thoughts ?

And just to prove we have a bit of snow, this picture was taken on Sunday morning as we were setting out on a bike ride in Harwood Forest. The snow got thicker as we climbed up through the forest, but it was that lovely crispy stuff so there wasn't much loss of traction (but quite a bit more friction). Its still here today and froze hard last night.
