was up at 06:00 and everything was white with about an inch of snow, still snowing now but the ground is clear. Had some fun with the MG up at the farm on some tracks in the snow but it was all gone by 09:00.

Quite warm here in the Maldives, even if we had a bit of rain in the past few days. Of course I'm not on holidays, I'm working......tough job but someone has to do it.....

Mowed the lawn today, wearing just a pair of shorts, 25 degrees C. Seems a bit late for snow even for you guys over there. Have a good week SDV6 (14.5) Corris Grey NZ Spec + door mouldings, mud flaps and tow bar

We have a bit of the white stuff around us in Northumberland. No more than a couple of inches and the deepest accumulations are definitely in our back garden - we live at the top of a hill. Always amazes me how much more snow we get up here. It can be a warm dry day 200 feet down the hill but cold, icey and windy up here. The 7 year old daughter asked me why it is colder up a hill than down in the valley and I am not sure I know the answer. Its one of those facts of life that everyone knows but having asked a few people no one seems to be sure they know why this is. At the top of a hill you are nearer the sun, less atmosphere above you for the sun's rays etc. And cold air falls into the valleys and warm air rises - 2 reasons why there should be less snow at the top and more snow at the bottom. Any thoughts ?

Woke up to a slight covering of snow and my MG stuck in the bottom drive to the house, had to put on the MT/Rs on the RRS to pull it out
