Make sure you have them on as snug as possible, you should have the down pipe of the original exhaust coming through flush with the exit oval of the new chrome end, just losen the grub screws and see if they move a little more in, hope these pics help

I just noticed the one that is knocking is jutting out a little bit more than the one that isn't - so like you said I need to push it back a little bit more......to be on the safe side I got some stick on pads to either put on the pipe or the balance.....to cushion any blow - as the new pipe does not get hot at all, I think they will stick on....and stop the vibration....but of course will try to push it back first and see if thats works...thanks mate |

yes it's all fixed now - took it off again and pushed it back as far as it would go - but also added little cushion stick on pads to some parts near the balances and also on the top side of the tip where it nears the underside of the rear bumper (just in case!) and it works wonderfully, and no rattles or sounds at all - at idle or at speed!!! Thanks Steve for your pics and help. Where in germany are you? Mrs Nick and I spend a lot of time in Hamburg with work. |

Steve how come your car is on a Scottish registration plate, did you buy from a Scottish dealer? All S's and T's are Scottish registered cars. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

MMM, it's to do with the wife, well her job actualy, because she is GI jane (steady Jay) we have to use the British Forces Germany plates over here, it just so happens that they are currently having a run on Scottish numbers at the moment, I think SN is a perth prefix. Yep those chrome tips do make the car look good, i think it could be standard on factory cars as it does not effect the route of the exhaust gasses Speed Limits! not where I live!
