Not really. Retro fit ones are activiated and powered by the reversing lights....
So reverse lights go on, beeping starts... You don't think you need LR for that.

You might though for LR specific PDC. 2022 P440e AB

Hi again,

I was only thinking of the LR PDC to fit to the car. I have not spoken to my LR dealer as they onnly seem to tel you what they want.
I do not know if the car already has the option of the PDC wiring already in the looms of the car or not so that you can just fit the neccessary switch in the dash and the actual sensors in the bumper Question

Regards

Dai

I'm not sure retrofitting the LR PDC would be a financially viable thing to do when you can get aftermarket systems for much much cheaper (which do exactly the same thing at the end of the day).

Cheaper to do a 3rd party kit. This was recently on our sister site.

Yes, sure you can get any replacement part from the Parts Department. That would mean that part existed in your car in the first place.

I assumed dai748's car did not have the PDC to start with, that's why he needed to fit one. Since the PDC is not sold separately as an accessory, I would think this is a factory fitted option. Wink

I think it's going to be one of those things you ask your service dept to quote for.... if the wiring looms not there (which tbh, I can't imagine it not being) then a lot of service depts won't even go there.

Or... like me and VA said earlier, just get a third party system that hooks into the reverse lights.
