Qatar 2007 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Buckingham Blue
Rear Door Plastic Trim

Hi Guys,

Long time since I last posted on this site. Cool

I am considering to color-code the grey plastic trim at the bottom of the
rear door (the one with the "RANGE ROVER" letters).

Do you know how can I remove that piece without breaking a clip or two Embarassed

Did anyone remove it and document that in text or pictures Very Happy

Thanks for all the help.

Thx Bobby,

The one-page is not very informative and adds to the my confusion Confused

So do you think I should just pull it all out? Will I risk breaking any clips?

My experience with tugging things off is that expect to break the clips - go to your parts department and pre-order replacements. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Sorry William, that's all the info I have.

You should actually have a closer look at the clips mentioned to have a better idea, I think.
The article says "release" and "install" the clips, nothing on "tugging"!
Remove the trim and have a look. They might be easier to work with than you thought. Wink Malaysia Boleh!

I think that like most of the exterior trim clips on the RR Sport, the clips on the lower tailgate applique are a one fit clip. So the term "release and install" basically means if you remove the trim you have to install new clips.

You will also need to purchase a new Range Rover logo to retro fit once the trim has been painted. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

it just pops off, no clips need to be replaced, as long as you pop the old ones off. its very easy. there may be two screws but i'm not sure. just pop your trunk and look around the edges of the molding. if you dont see any screws that appear to be holding it in, yank very hard on the corner. You'll see the plastic pressure clips that lock it in.
