The TDv6 should give better than 18mpg........................... I got 25-27mpg in day to day driving and in excess of 30mpg on the motorway at steady speed, BUT living in rural Central Scotland I do hardy any stop start commuter or inner city driving. I think most of the guys on the forums who are doing daily commutes are getting 21-25mpg from their V6s'.

My mpg here :- http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic7907.h...pauloamore and here :- http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/post137810.html#137810 Split opinion on the board. The derv boys would rather pay £10k more for a TDv8. I'd rather pay £10k less, have better performance all the toys and buy petrol (that is now 5p per litre cheaper than diesel). Each to their own.... I love my SC.... Fuel cost comparison :- http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pajKrJVAyMuZZpUqYNniUIg So - at 8000 miles per annum, you'll spend £1k more than the TDv6.... Of course, come resale, your car will depreciate faster than a diesel. But buying it second hand... Some of that has be dealt with.... 2022 P440e AB |

In the UK the SC is dead - too greedy on fuel and the TDV8 is a match on power. LR are offering £3k off the list on SC at the moment. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Thats a discount for sure. But you'd be mad to buy new anyway. To say that the SC is dead, is like saying the Porsche won't sell any Cayenne's, and they will..... 2022 P440e AB |

My local dealer has had a FFRR Vogue SE S/C sitting on their forecourt for 15 months............................. the price hasn't dropped from £45k in the last 7 months but I'm sure if you offered them £25k for it they would be delighted to be shot of it. I think it has stuck because of the colour - Tonga Green with Black interior and it is also one of the last of the pre-facelift cars so doesn't have TR and the interior upgrades that came with it. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Funny thing is I was told in the trade that they are difficult to sell and the dealer was well upset when I spoke to him. Knocked 3k off without any real trying.

I'd say about £35k would be reasonable. |
