Genuine Land Rover Roof Mounted DVD Player

HI All
Has anybody on here had the Genuine Land Rover Roof Mounted DVD Player fit to their Sport as an upgrade. I have seen one in the catalogue and quite fancy one to keep the kids quiet in the back of the car on long journeys.
Any thought comment welcome, Please keep it clean.
Ste.

Hi Jimmy
Thanks for information, Clicked on the link and had a look, If one thing for sure i would'nt be installing it after looking at all that for the installation.
For the price of Land Rover Roof mounted I could go to Cat-1 in Manchester and get 2 screens in headrests Tv with Freeview/DVD and picture in motion for wife of coarse in the front.

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Had one in the TDV6, got factory RSE in the TDV8.

DVD quality is good, screen is big (can't get very large screens in headrests), powers down automatically on low voltage, can listen via the stereo by selecting Aux. Can be fitted to car's with a sunroof.

Downside is you can't see anything out the back when it's down, games are rubbish and it is pricey.

Personally I prefer to have genuine kit fitted to avoid problems down the line and also to benefit from it being covered under the LR warranty. TDV8 HSE in Java/Ebony with Zebrano Wood, RSE, Hybrid TV, and a few other bells and whistles.

Another disadvantage is that if you don't have privacy glass the flickering of a video showing on the drop down screen is hellishly distracting to those following along behind you , especially if late house showing is Debbie Does Dallas Rolling with laughter The head restraint screens are pretty difficult for those following to see when there are 2 people in the back! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Thanks for those points Tim Rolling with laughter
I think screens in the headrests are a tidier option, Wife might get her legs rapped around the roof mounted screen (I wish)

Prestige Audio (site sponsor) will do a fully integrated headrest-based kit which is much better value than the genuine article Wink
