Yeah... isn't the published extra urban figure 23mpg for the SC? I wonder when the last time a thirsty petrol V8 met it's manufacturer's own figures?

the hardest point is resisting putting the pedal to the metal just to hear it roar and go like stink!! Happens all too often !! So fuel drops to 9 or 10 then down the lanes but boy is it fun!!

I know its more expensive and there are very few of them around on the used car market, but you can have exactly the same effect and noises with 25mpg from the TDv8, with less CO2 output too..................................... and would you really notice 1.4secs less 0-60 in day to day driving on UK roads, I doubt it. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Indeed. Amazing why people would pay tens of thousands to get 1.4 seconds shaved off the 0-60 time isnt it... Edited to say: I mean modifications, not upgrading Just Picked up: 2006 RRS S/C, java with Ivory. Garage: 2007 Mini Cooper, 2007 BMW 320d, 2002 Renault Clio (its a workhorse, honest) |

My TDV6, is currently returning over 30mpg, in busy morning and evening Motorway traffic, doing around 100miles a day. |
