Rupert, if you use this http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html to work out the difference between the 295 X 45 tyres you had on and the 295 x 40 tyres Envoy has, there appears to only be an additional 7mm clearance on top of the 2 mm your photo shows. This is no where near the 25mm + clearance that Envoy reports having. This points to a difference in the off set between the two wheels! In theory the LR ones should be correct. However, the evidence points to the fact that they are not. Even with 275 x 40 tyres fitted you will only obtain 13 mm clearance - again no where near the clearance Envoy is reporting with the wider 295 x 40 tyres.

Yes indeed it would be great if someone else who has fitted Stormers to their TDV6 could check the clearances.

Still doesn't seem to be a huge amount of clearance, but never having looked I don't know if this is normal or not Glad you got to the end Rupert

Stormers do look the Muts, glad to see that you have resolved the issue , i am still a little confused as my tyres are 295,s and have good clearance so if any one else has 295's as Rupert said CHECK THE CLEARANCE and let us know |

Looking good Rupert - glad you've got a happy ending. Like E says though - I'm a bit confused over why you have so little clearance with them, they are so commonly fitted I can't imagine it not being raised as an issue before now. Anyway, you're happy which is the main thing

I seem to remember that there is a problem with the D3 when fitted with the RRS 19 inch wheels with Goodyear MTR's fitted. From what I remember there are instances of rubbing with these but i doesn't happen with the RRS, because of that I would conclude the RRS has more clearance. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

hi guys, I'm quite new in here, got 2003 Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue Black, just found a set of Overfinch 22" wheels on internet and gonna buy them but I will need tyres for them of course, so what's the right size? I think they re 22x9. Your ego is my Lego!!! |
