I have a Nokia 6230i in the cradle. It works perfectly to dial from the directory, yet if I try to dial with voice commands, it responds " No handset connected".

You have stored the numbers in the car rather than the phone? |

No downgrade should be needed. The problem with this phone sytem on the RRS is simple - it's crap and bits that should work don't. Your not the first to experience problems and you will not be the last. I had similar problems and sorted them out by trial and error and replacing the phone for the most basic phone for the cradle. I have a phone always in the cradle. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

My 6230i worked faultlessly UNTIL I upgraded the firmware on the phone... I then found I couldn't downgrade it to go back to what I had before. VA is right - generally, the PTI is a bit rubbish, although the MY08 RRSs have a newer Bluetooth module which may make things a bit better.

Might be worth asking your dealer if you can get the MY08 bluetooth module swapped into your car? Word has it, it works a lot more seamlessly than the one you currently have
