It's a bit like buying a horse. Just cos you can afford to spend a £100K on a horse dosen't mean you can ride it any better than the one that you could have bought for £5K.

The RS4 was awesome, but the quattro system weighs too much, the car came in at 1.7 tonnes, which you could feel... fuel was very heavy and the car did feel very heavy through bends etc. The 335d in normal everyday driving conditions is faster then the RS4.. its triple figure speeds is awesome!! (on the german autobahns obviously.. )getting up to 140+ is dangerously easy whereas it was noticeably a chore in the RS4 as you had a lot of noise and a lot of work to do to keep it going plus 8mpg to contend with instead of 27mpg in the 335d. I think the M3 will be better then the RS4 in many ways.
