Trust the smart thing to do is get a new one... Question

Trouble is I was hoping to get wider tyres in time. Opposit tyre has 3500 miles on it. All the other tyres just a bit more.

Damn it. Cursing my rotten driving. 2022 P440e AB

My local tyre fitter did replacements @ £195, but that was then... maybe they are generally more expensive now.

Get them checked out by a specialist, these could still be ok for a while. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I had MUCH worse damage than that on ALL FOUR tyres after I took my Supercharged offroading in Scotland.

I didn't bother replacing the tyres as the cuts are superficial to the surface, nothing got deep enough to the braiding or belting of the tyre.

I did at least anouter 10,000 miles with no problems at all. Save your money! L319 D4 HSE

I'd say its a cheap insurance policy if you buy a new tyre, especially if its a front one.

Yeah. one can see the edge of the braiding if you peel the gash back.

I got the car for Junior's (10 weeks old today) protection. So it's getting swapped out tomorrow.

If anyone wants this tyre, you can have it FOC. 2022 P440e AB

Heh, I also have many trouble-free miles on a tire with about 4x as much sidewall missing. Those Contis suck....
