Nokia and Parrot (maybe others) | |
As I said in another thread, my Nokia N80 would not synchronize the phonebook with the Parrot 3100, I had to transfer it manually.
Found this on a Parrot forum, installed the Nokia software and it seems to work fine.
Might work for PTI users as well, who knows.
How to synchronise my phonebook with a Symbian Nokia phone ?
Symbian phones don't have automatic phonebook synchronization initially. You have to install Nokia 810 contact download on your phone.
First of all, please follow this link : http://europe.nokia.com/nokia/0,6771,42796,00.html
To install the Nokia synchronization software, please follow these steps :
* Please pair your phone to the car kit and switch off your engine.
* Launch the bluetooth manager that is provided with the Bluetooth Dongle's software.
* Find all the bluetooth devices and select your phone.
* Use the OBEX FILE TRANSFER feature of your phone.
* Define a Bluetooth PIN code.
* A window will appear on your phone, enter the same bluetooth PIN code.
* Send The software you have downloaded to your phone. Don't forget to accept the file transfer on your phone.
* You will receive a message on your phone. Open it and follow the instructions. Wait until the download is finished.
* If the installation is succesful you should find an icon with a car and a computer.
Once you have installed the specific software on your phone :
* Please make sure your phone is paired to the car kit.
* Switch off your car kit.
* On your phone go to the MENU screen.
* Select the software you have installed : the icon with a car and a computer.
* Select the OPTIONS command.
* Select OPEN command.
* Select the OPTIONS command again.
* Select OPEN command.
* Then switch on your engine.
* Wait until the car kit tell you the end of the synchronization.
* You can now assign voice tags. Refer to the voice commands menu.
* Note : If your phone doesn't appear in the list, then the relative version isn't available. Please be patient, it will likely be soon released.
