When you say shut down did the RRS simply stop or did loads of warning lights come on? If it's the later a simple restart of the car as your friend did often cures any problem, this will be the same od the D3. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

At least it didn't wreck half of the wheels on your car like it did to mine recently....

Hi My apologies for the delay in replying. Apparently, in each case, 'loads' of lights did come on. They went off one by one and then a restart fixed the problem. I guess from this, that there must be some sort of sensing system within the suspension that measures dangerous excursions of the components. Is this the case please? I have a Disco 2003 TD5 and a manual reset of a switch on the firewall is needed if a severe shock triggers a total shutdown. Thanks for your interest. Pete |
