You could always buy one here in my name, let me look after it for 6 months and then take it into the UK. Sounds good?

I have spoken to a employee at the neyland company and he states that as long as you are a resident in the UK . It seems like 10 grand is a big saving and I have been told that this is the price to the UK It all seems a bit too good to be true at the mo but he has given me a contact in the UK who I will ring on monday. I will let you know how I get on. Not got one yet, but will have one soon!! |

I did this all the time when I was in the Forces. It used to be 6 months out of the country before you could bring it back in. I have a feeling they have now increased that, but a call to customs would provide the answer. I'm surprised someone hasn't started a business doing this. TDV6 - gone

Hi 912quik, did you order this through Neyland or another agent? You've made a considerable saving over buying on the UK market... about 5k. Good one!

Hmm - I don't like to worry you, 912quik but they've been investigated by Watchdog for being a money-earning scam for the owners. The top few Google results for "micronet showroom" are virtually all negative. Lots of threads on the Parkers forum over lost money etc. I'm sure you've looked into them - but wouldn't want you to lose 40k on a car scam....
